Were Never Married

This work forms part of a photographic collaboration with Hasisi Park entitled Jackson and Hasisi Were Never Married. The project traverses our intimate life in a constant exploration of the idea that ‘all you need is love’ amid a context that couldn’t help but define us. Were Never Married aims to challenge the stereotypes of Korean-Western relationships in offering a new take on the old 'Dongducheon Blues'. The title Were Never Married implies a false retrospectivity, which means to playfully reject a cliched view of love where the images portray a sense of honesty and rawness in relationships.
